The original ‘Throw Like A Girl’ spot was first aired in June 2014. The implication was that to do something ‘like a girl’ was to do it badly. The campaign clearly showed that this negative connotation was ‘learned behaviour’. Therefore, it’s something we can, and need to change. The campaign was aired during the Super Bowl of that year and the responses, both in favour and against showed the real need for this topic to be brought to the attention of all. So powerful.
